Welcome to the Selz FAQ Series! There are a few questions we hear more often than others, so we decided to answer them here on FounderU, the Selz blog. Today, I’m going to address whether or not you can extend your free trial, how our platform helps you keep digital products secure, and exactly what your payment options are.
Ready? Let’s dig in!
Question: Can Selz extend my free trial if I need more time?
The Selz free 14-day trial gives you access to all of the features available on the plans, and you have that time to experiment and decide which features are right for you.
At this time, we don’t offer extended trials or the ability to pause a trial. If you don’t choose a paid plan before your trial ends, your account will become a standard free account. If you continue to use your free account you can keep learning about what your business needs. And you can upgrade at any time.

Question: How can I protect my digital product files from illegal downloads?
For those of you who don’t know or are more focused on selling physical products or services, digital products can take the form of videos, ebooks, PDFs, MP3s, software, graphic design templates, and more.
These products can be easy to distribute online, but that same simplicity can make it challenging to prevent customers from sharing your digital products or (even worse) selling them as their own.
Luckily, here at Selz we have some top-notch security features to help defend digital businesses from this type of exploitation. Merchants can utilize download and streaming limits, PDF stamping and watermarking, and even license keys to protect software and apps.
Question: What are the payment options, and how long does it take to get paid with Selz?
You’re not running a business just for fun. We know that profit matters to you and it’s important to understand how you’ll receive funds.
There are two payment gateways you can use with Selz: PayPal and Selz Pay. It will take 48 hours to activate payment as a merchant, so go ahead and select your payment gateway for your account right away during your trial.
Merchants can choose from three different payment options – daily, weekly or monthly. If you’re using Selz Pay, there will be a seven day period between the initial charge and transfer of your business’s first transaction. This will create a short delay for your first payment.
This is for security purposes and only occurs after the very first payment. After that, your payments will be faster, and direct transfers will occur according to the payment schedule you select. Also, you can change your payment schedule preferences at any time!
Hopefully, this gives you a clearer picture of what you accomplish with Selz. If you have any other questions about our platform, send them our way and let us know in the comments!
