While email has long been regarded as the unexciting, not-so-hot cousin of social media, the tide is slowly turning. If you’re in business, then building your email list is just about the most important thing you can do, as it’s the only way that you can speak directly to your followers and customers, regardless of the social media platforms you’ve chosen to use.

And here’s the thing – if you’re selling your ebooks, music, or anything else that you create through third party marketplaces, like Amazon and iTunes, you’re missing out on a golden opportunity to grow your list. The ‘big guys’ regard your customers as theirs, so while it’s tempting to make quick sales with these marketplaces, you could be missing out on some long term benefits.

We want you to grow your business, not someone else’s, so we’ve made it really easy for you to export your customer data, so that you can add it to your mailing list. Here’s how to do it.

How To Build Your Email List With Selz

  1. Sign into your Selz account
  2. Click on Apps > Settings, then click on Mailchimp, Aweber, or Campaign Monitor
  3. Flick on ‘Export existing customers to MailChimp’ and click save.

You can also export a CSV of your customer’s details, including name, email address, and products purchased.

  1. Sign into your Selz account
  2. Click on Customers > Export CSV

That’s it! Your data will be exported to a CSV file, which you can then import into your chosen email marketing tool, like Mailchimp.
